About the Role

We are currently looking for a substitute Sterile Processing Technician for our unit at Mölndal Hospital, as some of our colleagues will be on parental leave for a few months. Here, you will work to ensure that surgical instruments are correctly cleaned, checked, and sterilized – a task crucial for patient safety.

The work pace can be fast, and some tasks are physically demanding, so we are looking for someone who thrives in an active environment and has good physical fitness.

We use individual schedule planning (ISP), which gives you the opportunity to influence your own schedule to some extent. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, covering both day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Inspection and packaging according to established routines
• Documentation and quality assurance
• Picking orders for the hospital's operating departments
• Collaboration with operating departments and other sterile processing units at Sahlgrenska

Who are we looking for?

• Education as a Sterile Processing Technician or equivalent experience
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and a good team player
• Capable of physically active work with periods of high tempo
• Good computer skills
• Understanding of hygiene routines
• Sees opportunities for improvement and dares to suggest changes
• Good Swedish language skills (written and spoken)
• Technical interest
• Experience with shift work
