Job Responsibilities
Working as a medical secretary/healthcare administrator at the emergency department is a varied and dynamic job where no two days are alike. Your main tasks include medical documentation, diagnosis registration, and referral handling, as well as other administrative and IT-related tasks.
Part of your work involves registering patients who arrive by ambulance. You will also serve as a backup card handler during on-call hours, assisting when there is a need for backup cards.
In the event of a trauma alarm, you are an important part of the team and are responsible for documenting in real-time inside the alarm room. Additionally, as secretaries, we are included in the Regional Healthcare Management during major accidents or serious incidents.
Working with us offers an exciting mix of standard secretarial tasks and unique tasks specific to the emergency department's secretarial unit. This makes the role both challenging and rewarding.
About the Workplace
The Emergency Clinic is a dynamic and multifaceted workplace with approximately 130 employees, of whom 16 are medical secretaries. We see patients with varying needs and diagnoses and provide care around the clock.

During on-call hours, we also receive patients from smaller clinics such as ophthalmology, ENT, gynecology, and oral surgery. Our trauma unit is one of the largest in the country and handles trauma cases around the clock.
We are open all hours of the day, every day of the year.
For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your job, which is why we offer you
- a tailored introduction program to help you feel confident and secure in your professional role
