At the Örkelljunga Health Centre, approximately 20 employees work with 6,000 registered patients. We have specialists in general practice, as well as ST (Specialist Training) and AT (Internship) doctors. We have several training doctors within ST and ongoing AT doctors with supervision and support. Every week, we also have rounds with home care and Säbo (supported living). Additionally, we run nurse and district nurse clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, elderly care, smoking cessation, and blood pressure management. There is also a Family Centre here, including an associated Child Health Centre (BVC). We have a very well-functioning collaboration with our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and our counselor specializing in CBT. Currently, we are developing the role of the rehabilitation coordinator to become part of the sick leave process.

Örkelljunga has good bus connections to Ängelholm, Hässleholm, and Helsingborg. There are also plenty of free parking spaces. We have spacious old premises that include an examination room and our own reception.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome a Specialist in General Practice with Medical Leadership Responsibility to our team! Here, you will encounter a type of care that in many ways resembles classic rural medicine, right in the heart of Scania.

We are looking for someone interested in working both as a Specialist in General Practice and dedicating time each week to serve as the Medical Leader (MLA). In this role, you will work together with the Operations Manager to create conditions for developing medical quality and safety.

There is a Child Health Centre (BVC), a nursing home, and home care services where we have an developed collaboration involving rounds. You will supervise ST and AT doctors. The BVC is part of the Family Centre located on the upper floor. The medical team is stable, and we help each other to ensure good care for our patients. We have an ambulance on-site every week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a strong service-oriented mindset and always keep the patient in focus. Naturally, you have a genuine interest in people and good communication skills. Furthermore, it is important that you can collaborate and are flexible, as we are a smaller workplace. Personal suitability is highly valued.

To be eligible for this position, you must be a licensed physician and a Specialist in General Practice with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. We would appreciate if you have work experience from previous roles. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
