The Family Administration in Sjöbo Municipality is an exciting operation encompassing many societal functions, including preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, individual and family care, adult education, culture & leisure, upper secondary schools, as well as labor market and integration services. We have a high development pace to keep up with the societal growth occurring within each operation. The Youth Coach position is part of the Culture and Leisure unit and is part of a team where various competencies collaborate. The work group consists of 2 youth coaches (the advertised position and one role with a social preventive focus), 1 youth counselor, 1 unit manager, and 1 Public Health Strategist.
Development work is part of the administration's targeted assignments related to improved living conditions, meaningful leisure time, and preventive work aimed at children and young people.

Job Responsibilities
Help shape a safe, active, and developing Sjöbo for and with our young people!
Are you engaged with our youth and their conditions for a meaningful leisure time? Do you have the ability to build relationships and see the individual while also analyzing and working at a strategic level? Then you should apply for this exciting position and become part of designing a new work method with us!
We are now looking for you who can be a crucial piece in the promotion work with young people. Through collaboration, we create an active, social, and developmental leisure time for all young people in the municipality. We follow the young people by being mobile and present at the arenas and places where the youth are, creating activities based on young people's needs and participation. In the long run, we also want the young people themselves to be involved in arranging their own leisure time, and for the youth coach to coach them towards this.
You collaborate and build networks with schools, associations, and other relevant actors to create opportunities for the municipality's youth.
You work at both an operational and strategic level.
Qualifications
You have a genuine interest in youth issues and see young people as a resource. You are an outgoing, engaged, and secure adult who easily creates trusting relationships with young people. You are structured and enjoy working independently, while also thriving in collaboration as you will be part of various networks and work groups. You should be an initiator and a starter with a coaching approach.
You feel confident in contacting and talking with young people and find it easy to collaborate both internally and externally. The position involves a lot of team work, so it is important that you have good communication skills, can create trusting relationships, and, together with the work group, work to achieve good results in the work. It is also important that you are flexible in your work and easily adapt to changed circumstances. We would appreciate it if you have understanding for and experience in using social media as a means and tool.
For this position, we place great emphasis on your personal competencies and qualities.
It is a requirement that you are educated as a social pedagogue, leisure leader, or other equivalent education with a focus on youth.
It is a requirement that you have experience working with the target group aged 13-19 years.
Meritorious if you have undergone training in motivational interviewing or crime as a lifestyle.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-10-05 Alternatively by agreement.
Working hours: Schedule.
