About the position

We are currently looking for personal assistants who can work part-time, approx. 50%, and who can work extra hours when needed.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 08:00 - 16:00, 16:00 - 22:00 (Mon-Sun)
• 22:00 - 08:00 (Awake night shift)

About the client

I am a 60-year-old man living in a villa in Gessie outside of Vellinge with my wife. I use a wheelchair and need help with most things, but I will tell you if there is something specific I want. Since there is some transferring involved, it is an advantage if you are comfortable with this. I use a ventilator at night and have a tracheostomy (trach), which is a plus if you have worked with this before, but you will receive training and education.

I love watching sports, and football is particularly close to my heart. In your work, you will spend a lot of time in my home, where I feel most comfortable. It is important that we have good chemistry and that you understand what the profession of personal assistance entails, as I have significant care needs. If you enjoy sports and have experience within personal assistance, I look forward to hearing from you!

About you

You who apply should be receptive, have strong social skills, and be easy-going with a good sense of humor. You are also a careful, responsible, flexible, and empathetic person, as you will serve as a support for the client in their daily life. The work consists of everything from personal hygiene and dressing to helping with leisure activities. You are a calm and self-assured person.

Requirements

• Non-smoker
• No allergies to fur-bearing animals
• Experience working as a personal assistant or within healthcare and social services
• Healthcare education

Merits

• Driver's license and access to a car (it is possible to use public transport, but having a license and car is a plus)

Scope: Part-time approx. 50% and extra hours when needed.
Number of positions: 2.
Start date: According to agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

In the event of employment
To be employed by us at Nordström Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you can present a valid ID and a valid certificate of no criminal record (personbevis) and/or any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. A certificate of no criminal record can be easily downloaded from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with this client, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so order well in advance.
