About the role
This is a full-time consulting assignment starting on September 1, 2026, lasting for one year until the end of August 2027. You will be employed by us at Academic Work and work as a consultant on a long-term, exciting assignment with our client in Lund – a leading company in an industry where precision and structure are paramount. As a Junior Procurement Project Manager and Material Planner, you will have a key role where you coordinate and drive the procurement aspects of several parallel projects. You will be at the center of the action, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time, while managing supplier contacts and optimizing flows in the business system.
Responsibilities
The role involves a combination of project management within procurement and operational material planning to support the manufacturing process.
- Primarily plan, control, and lead procurement processes and material requirements for specific projects.
- Responsible for material planning and proactively preventing bottlenecks in the supply chain.
- Daily contact and collaboration with suppliers, project managers, and internal production teams.
- Administer, update, and follow up on orders and stock balances in the client's business system (ERP).
- Handle multiple parallel tasks and reprioritize quickly when project conditions change.
- Coordinate logistics flows and delivery monitoring.
We are looking for someone who
- Fluent proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Relevant post-secondary education in areas such as procurement, logistics, industrial economics, production technology, or equivalent.
- At least 1–3 years of experience working in procurement, material planning, supply chain, and logistics.
- Experience working in a project format or handling multiple parallel timelines and tasks.
- As the position is located in a security-classified environment, you must undergo and pass a register-specific security clearance.
It is an advantage if you have
- Very good knowledge of ERP systems.
- Experience from the manufacturing industry.
- Good familiarity and practical experience working in larger business systems (ERP systems).
