We are currently looking for a substitute craft teacher specializing in wood and metal, as our current teacher will be on leave.

Brännaskolan is located in northern Brännan on Härnön. The school is situated in a beautiful natural environment with easy access to forests and the sea, which are used extensively in daily activities. Within walking distance, you will find Härnösand Library, the theater, Technichus, a swimming hall, and outdoor facilities. The school offers activities from preschool class to grade 6, as well as after-school care. Brännaskolan currently has approximately 310 students. The school's guiding principles, which permeate all operations, are Knowledge, Security, and Joy.

We are now seeking a craft teacher with a focus on wood and metal for a substitute position during the upcoming school year. The position is part-time at 65%. You will collaborate closely with our craft teacher specializing in textiles and be part of a work team with other teachers at the intermediate school level.

Responsibilities

In the role of a teacher here, you are responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating activities based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You contribute to creating an environment aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and their personal growth and outlook on the future. You work in accordance with the School Act, the curriculum, as well as municipal and local goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach crafts, specializing in wood and metal.

We consider it an advantage if you:

• have worked as a craft teacher.
• have previous experience working in a school.
• are well acquainted with the goals of the curriculum and governing documents.
• have good knowledge of adaptations and special support for students.
• have previous experience working with visual aids.
• have good knowledge of digital tools.

You have high, positive expectations for students and want and believe that all students can succeed. You can communicate with both students and guardians. You maintain a professional demeanor in your interactions with students and guardians while being attentive, flexible, and patient. You should be a clear leader in the classroom who challenges, drives, and builds trusting relationships with students. You view teamwork and collegial work as the natural starting point in your work. You are structured and able to organize teaching according to students' individual needs and are well-versed in digital tools within education. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Part-time, daytime.

This is a substitute position running from 2026-08-11 to 2027-06-17.
