Introduction Program for New Teachers – Örnsköldsvik Municipality
For those who are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an introduction program for new teachers. During your first year, you will be assigned a mentor—an experienced teacher with the same subject qualification—who can guide and support you.
Responsibilities
You will teach Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) and English in grades 7–9. You will have overall responsibility for the student group and handle the documentation and contacts involved in the role. Contact and collaboration with guardians are an important part of the job. You will work together with a work team to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teaching degree with subject qualifications in Swedish/SVA and English. We seek someone who enjoys challenges, thinks creatively, and sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a confident adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and among colleagues is second nature to you.
We would appreciate it if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the ability to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are receptive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.
Application
Please attach your CV and a cover letter to your application. We look forward to receiving your application!
