Located in a beautiful environment with nature as a neighbor, Älandsbro School has approximately 160 students ranging from preschool class to grade 6. The school grounds also feature a sports hall, football and ice hockey fields, as well as a wooded area with a barbecue spot.

About the position

We are looking for a teacher to join the Lower Primary School team. As a class teacher in lower primary school, you will teach a class. You should have good knowledge of teaching students in their early reading and writing development as well as mathematics learning.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum, using both analog and digital tools in a way that makes teaching clear, varied, and student-centered. You work systematically with assessment and documentation, ensuring that students and guardians receive clear information about their knowledge development.

You are part of a team where you collectively drive the pedagogical work forward. Together you plan thematically, exchange ideas, and support each other in daily work. You also collaborate closely with student welfare and after-school care regarding adaptations and support for students, especially those with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher for grades F-3 with qualifications in mathematics, Swedish, English, Social Studies (SO), and Natural Sciences (NO)
• Qualifications in additional subjects such as Technology or Art are meritorious
• Category B driver's license

Meritorious

• Experience teaching in grades F-3
• Good knowledge of the curriculum and regulatory documents
• Ability to plan and conduct teaching independently
• Confidence in using digital tools in teaching
• Teaching based on scientific foundation and proven experience

Scope

The position is a temporary assignment from August 11 to December 22, at 100% capacity. Start date August 11, 2026, or by agreement.

The position will be filled if necessary decisions are made. To work with us, a clean certificate from the Swedish Police Authority is required.
