Nylandsskolan is a workplace with approximately fifteen staff members and around 120 students. For us, it is important that the student's learning is at the center. Together, we create a safe learning environment where expectations, participation, and hope for the future are central concepts. Both indoor and outdoor environments are important factors for student learning, and we utilize the schoolyard and surrounding area for curious learning, movement, and exploration.

We work together in work teams, student health teams, and school leadership to create conditions for students to reach their knowledge goals. We work systematically with goals and development areas and follow up on student learning at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Job Responsibilities

You will be placed at Nylandsskolan and belong to the work team at the after-school center (fritidshem). Your duties include leading, planning, and conducting teaching at the after-school center in accordance with the current curriculum, together with the after-school center staff. The after-school center's mission is to create a meaningful, active, and participatory after-school activity based on the curriculum. Dialogue with students is important for influence and participation.

Collaboration with the school happens naturally, and during school hours, you will work in the classroom together with teachers and students, based on needs. You may also be assigned certain areas of responsibility within the scope of the operation's needs.

In the role of a teacher at the after-school center, you are expected to make independent decisions while being a team player. Your communication skills are a large part of the role in conversations with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are also expected to regularly work with systematic quality work, which includes student learning, safety, attendance, and development towards goals.

Furthermore, you are expected to have good knowledge of handling various digital systems for documentation, follow-up, and management of the operation. This autumn, the after-school center will change its learning platform with functions tailored to the after-school center's needs, so you will also be an important part of implementing it.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are certified and educated as a preschool-class teacher or a teacher for younger grades with a focus on the after-school center. We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

It is meritorious if you have further education or experience with students in need of special support. Likewise, it is meritorious if you have experience with recruiting substitutes, scheduling, and/or very good familiarity with digital systems related to the after-school center's operations.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, Start date: 2026-08-09 Or start date by agreement.
