Do you want to be part of a project to develop a completely new role within short-term care in Örebro Municipality, in close collaboration with the region? Do you have a social work background with experience in public administration? You could be the Welfare Coordinator we are looking for!

About the position

Within short-term care, we have long recognized the need for a function that can investigate and guide vulnerable citizens further within the municipality, for example to supportive and preventive measures. We are looking for you who have a holistic perspective and understanding of which authorities and societal functions individuals should turn to in order to receive the continued help they need.

At Tullhuset, you will collaborate closely with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors, and assistant nurses to investigate the citizen's needs. This close collaboration forms the foundation of the entire operation, and the work is based on each citizen's individual needs. It requires good cooperation with other operations at both the municipal and regional levels. You may also work with other operations offering short-term places within the municipality.

Examples of tasks:

• Provide psychosocial support and advice to citizens within the operation.
• Support citizens in their contacts with authorities and other social coordination services.
• Initiate and work in collaboration between different operations, both internally and externally.
• Expand the collaboration with the region.

About the workplace

At Tullhuset, we run Örebro Municipality's largest short-term accommodation, consisting of four floors and 62 places. Our operation is run in close collaboration with Region Örebro County and the Geriatric Clinic at Örebro University Hospital, which provides medical staffing as well as physiotherapists and rehab assistants. We have resources for investigating the need for continued care and support, strengthened resources for rehabilitation, and continuous access to doctors during weekday days, as well as primary care on-call services during evenings and weekends. Our operation aims to provide the individual with knowledge, good treatment, high participation, and continuity.

Qualifications

As you work independently in the role of Welfare Coordinator, you need to have the ability to drive your work forward on your own initiative and shape the role. The work requires a good ability to build relationships. You also need to be flexible and collaborate well with others, both within and outside our operation.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent social care program.
• Experience in public administration.
• Good knowledge of other municipal operations within the social services administration.

Working hours: 100%

Start date and duration: According to agreement until August 31, 2027.
