We are looking for a social worker (counselor) to work on the orthopedic acute and trauma department and at the hand surgery clinic. Patients are treated on the ward following orthopedic surgery or trauma. Many patients with complex injury patterns, for example after accidents, are treated here either directly after the injury, after a period in intensive care, or after care in another specialist area.
You will be employed within the Health Professions business area, where we work in close collaboration with other professions. ResponsibilitiesAs a social worker, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team with the goal of offering high-quality and efficient care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities are to provide acute psychosocial and practical support to orthopedic and hand surgery patients. You should have a secure and professional approach to both patients and their relatives.
QualificationsA degree in social work is required. We prefer that you are a licensed health and social care social worker or have previous experience from social work within the health and social care sector. You should have good skills in structure, planning, and stress tolerance. We value personal suitability highly and that you have good teamwork skills.
It is important to us that you find it easy to create good encounters, both with patients and colleagues in the team. Since the business area is new, routines and forms of collaboration are still evolving, and you should thrive as part of development and change work.

About the OperationsThe Health Professions business area is a newly established county clinic. In the business area, speech therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, assistant nurses, and administrators work. The position is located in the social work unit, which is one of several units within the new business area.
