About the position
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everyday matters and basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The client is a 5-year-old girl who lives with her family in Lindesberg. She is a girl full of energy who loves to play and be active. She has extensive care needs, requires 24-hour supervision, and uses a wheelchair most of the time. As a personal assistant, you will support her where her disabilities impose limitations. Tasks will include supporting communication, transfers, personal care, and activities both inside and outside the home.
Who are you?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. You have plenty of energy and thrive in jobs where you can be very active. It is also important that you can take initiative, see what needs to be done, and are flexible according to the client's needs. We prefer female applicants for this position, but personal suitability is the most important factor.
Requirements for the position:
- Good knowledge of Swedish
- B-driver's license and access to a car for travel to the client, unless you live in Lindesberg
- Tolerance for pets (there is a cat in the household)
- Good physical fitness and ability to work at a fast pace
- Previous experience working with children
- Non-smoker
Merits for the position:
- Previous experience as a personal assistant
- Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- Experience with feeding tubes
- Experience with intellectual disabilities
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Working hours, employment degree, and salary
The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 50%. Working hours are scheduled during day and evening times. Example working hours are weekdays 16:30–21:00 and every other weekend 09:00–19:00.
Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
Start date is 2026-08-10 or by agreement.
