Bid Manager at Nackademin

Do you want to work with one of Sweden's most current and socially important forms of education - the University College of Vocational Education (Yrkeshögskolan)? As a Bid Manager/Proposal Manager at Nackademin, you are responsible for developing and leading bidding work that contributes to training future competence in professions where the labor market has a great need. The role combines operational bid management with strategic analysis and requires a high degree of independence in prioritization and execution.

Nackademin is one of Sweden's leading providers of vocational higher education with a strong position in several industries, and has had stable allocation, high quality, and good results for several years. Our success is built on structured bidding work, close collaboration with working life, and a long-term focus on developing education that meets the needs of the labor market. As a Bid Manager, you will have a key role in managing and further developing this work.

You are part of the marketing department and work closely with the Bid Manager, bid coordinators, and other proposal managers, as well as the rest of the educational operations. Within the framework of the joint bidding strategy, you are responsible for driving bid processes from analysis and prioritization to finished applications, while also contributing inputs for strategic decisions regarding quality, development, and economic trade-offs.

Your Responsibilities

As a Bid Manager, you are responsible for the entire bid process within your areas – from analysis to submitted and decided bids. You work with the development of new courses as well as re-applications for our existing ones, and the work involves many external and internal contact points.

This means that you:

  • Conduct structured environmental scanning and analysis within the labor market, competence supply, and education policy to strengthen future allocations.
  • Interpret and analyze the Swedish University College Authority's (MYH) priorities, assessment criteria, and application procedures, and translate them into concrete choices.
  • Work on identifying which courses and professional roles are strategically, qualitatively, and economically relevant to apply for, and develop content for these in collaboration with the industry.
  • Represent Nackademin in dialogue with employers and industry representatives, ensuring that new courses are developed in close collaboration with working life and based on current competence needs.
  • Draft, edit, and quality-assure bid texts, ensuring that the content of the applications is well-founded, clearly formulated, and adapted to the authority's assessment criteria.
  • Have budget and planning responsibility for your bids, including economic assessments and resource planning prior to application.
  • Ensure that each bid is competitive, maintains high quality, and meets all formal requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of working methods, templates, and quality assurance within the bid process.

Nature of the Role

This is a specialist role with significant individual responsibility. You are expected to:

  • Work independently within given strategic frameworks and objectives.
  • Translate analysis into decisions, prioritizations, and choices.
  • Draft and quality-assure extensive bid and analysis materials.
  • Balance quality, business acumen, and economic conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of Nackademin's bidding strategy and working methods.
  • Collaborate internally with, among others, education leaders and act as a supportive resource in bid-related questions.
  • Build long-term relationships with employers and working life representatives within the framework of the bidding work.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education from a university, university college, or vocational college within a field relevant to the position.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience from vocational higher education, the education sector, or within procurement.
  • Experience in compiling and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish.

If you do not meet all formal requirements but still believe the position is right for you, please motivate this in your cover letter, and we will take it into consideration.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience from procurement within vocational higher education.
  • Experience in conducting labor market analyses and competence needs assessments.
  • Experience in working relationally with business life.
