A new preventive unit within the social services has been launched.

This initiative means that the municipality's preventive work is consolidated and strengthened to meet the needs of children, young people, and families at an earlier stage, contributing to a more accessible social services. The new unit, the Preventive Unit for Children and Young People, is part of the municipality's efforts to comply with the new Social Services Act, which emphasizes early interventions, preventive work, and increased accessibility.

• School Social Work Team (Primary School)
• School Social Work Team (Upper Secondary School)

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two new employees for the Preventive Unit, as one of our colleagues has moved on to another position and to expand the operations with a full-time position. Do you want to be part of our preventive work?

These two advertised positions are aimed at the School Social Work Team, whose mission is to contribute to good conditions for all children to thrive and succeed in school. By being part of the School Social Work Team, the social services strengthen the statutory responsibility to work preventively to prevent children and young people from coming to harm and to create conditions for trust-building and promoting work at an early stage.

The goal is to strengthen children's attendance, goal achievement, and sense of security in school through team-based work.

Development work is ongoing between the Social Services Administration and the Preschool and Primary School Administration to implement the school social work team together.

We are now looking for two social workers for the School Social Work Team who, together with designated school staff, will work operationally primarily in the school environment. The work should be early-intervention focused and carried out close to the children, their guardians and networks, as well as close to school staff, student health services, social services, and other actors. The assignment will also include contributing to the development of the forms for school social work teams in Varberg Municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social worker, or have education that the employer considers equivalent. You need to have experience in family work and a special drive for working with children in a school environment. It is meritorious if you also have experience in authority matters concerning children and young people.

It is important that you are a resilient team player who is secure in your professional role and contributes both your specific parts and takes responsibility for the team's mission as a whole. Seeing the necessity of and enjoying collaboration and coordination is a requirement. You also need to have a good ability to build trusting relationships and have a holistic view where you put yourself in others' perspectives and understand them.

We would like you to be interested in structured development and improvement work and feel secure in taking initiative and daring to try things out.

Salary: Monthly salary.
