Do you want to play a key role in ensuring the operation of the power grid in a growing municipality?

As the Grid Operations Manager, you are central to keeping our power grid stable, safe, and available around the clock. From the control center, you monitor and control the grid in real-time and act quickly during disruptions. You analyze the situation, prioritize the right actions, and lead efforts until power supply is restored.

You are a key part in making operations run smoothly, every day.

Your main responsibilities will be

You are responsible for the daily operation of our electrical facilities, handling disruptions, planned work, and the development of operations. The role also includes troubleshooting street lighting and traffic signal systems.

  • Receive and handle alarms and fault reports, and lead and prioritize field troubleshooting
  • Act as the day-shift grid operator according to ESA regulations and lead personnel during operational disruptions and planned work in a safe manner
  • Inform customers and the public before, during, and after outages and disruptions
  • Plan and follow up on operational and maintenance work, and contribute to the creation of work orders
  • Be responsible for operational systems, backup power plants, as well as radio, alarm, and communication systems such as SCADA and Rakel
  • Handle damage claims, billing for vandalism, as well as quality follow-up and outage reporting
  • Perform operation-related calculations to ensure quality and function in the grid.
  • Participate in the company's emergency preparedness activities

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of the power grid who thrives in a role where you need to make decisions, prioritize, and create structure.

  • Electrical Engineer, Power Engineer, or Vocational Higher Education (e.g., in power systems, grid, or distribution electrician), or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

Previous experience and competence

  • At least 3 years of experience from power grid operations, maintenance, or similar environments
  • Good understanding of how the power grid is structured and functions
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety instructions (e.g., the Electricity Act and ESA)
  • Ability to interpret measurement data and assess how faults and load variations affect the power grid
  • Work with work orders and operational planning

It is an advantage if you have experience with

  • Operational systems (e.g., dpPower Operator or similar)
  • Meter data collection systems (e.g., Aidon)
  • Analysis platform systems (e.g., Quant Insight)
  • Practical experience from working in power grid facilities or field operations within power distribution

The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, which requires you to be communicative, attentive, and good at building relationships. You are flexible, helpful, and enjoy contributing where needed.

You are also comfortable leading and coordinating work during, for example, troubleshooting and planned projects. You give clear instructions, create conditions for a safe working method, and always keep safety in focus for colleagues, contractors, and customers.
