About the role

Do you want to take on an important role where PLC programming, troubleshooting, and customer-oriented problem solving meet in facilities that are already in operation? SGA Conveyor Systems is growing and is now strengthening its aftermarket department with an experienced PLC/Automation Engineer. This role is perfect for you if you want to work close to the technology, understand customer needs, and are driven by helping people through fast, professional, and solution-oriented service. As a PLC/Automation Engineer, you will work with programming, troubleshooting, support, and modifications in existing systems. You handle customer assignments via a case management system where assignments are registered, prioritized, and followed up. You will become an important part of the aftermarket team and contribute with structure, problem-solving skills, and security in more demanding issues.

Responsibilities

You will work with, among other things:

• PLC programming and modifications in existing systems.
• Troubleshooting and analysis of automation-related problems.
• Support and dialogue with customers.
• Case management and follow-up.
• Optimization of automation solutions in operation.
• Support to colleagues on technical matters.
• Improvement work related to working methods and structure.

This is a role where you need to be able to think independently, keep technical problems together, and at the same time understand the customer's situation. The position is primarily office-based in Kinna, with the possibility of some flexibility and remote work when assignments and planning allow. Travel may occur as needed, both within Sweden and internationally.

Qualifications and personal qualities

We are looking for you who have experience with PLC programming, automation, and troubleshooting in industrial environments. You are confident in your competence and used to taking responsibility from analysis to a working solution. We place great importance on your problem-solving ability, your technical level, and your ability to take responsibility in qualified cases. The role is characterized by experience, but the number of years in the profession is not decisive on its own. For the role, you need to have:

• Experience with PLC programming.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Experience from an industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have experience with Beckhoff/TwinCAT or other PLC systems, for example Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7, Rockwell, or Mitsubishi. Experience with robot integration, technical support, service, commissioning, or aftermarket is also valuable. You are confident in your professional role, self-initiating, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to approach problems methodically and drive the work forward until the solution works in practice. You have a genuine service focus and enjoy helping people. Supporting customers in technically challenging situations feels natural to you, and you are driven by creating trust through accessibility, professionalism, and strong commitment. At the same time, you are unpretentious and clear in your communication. You understand that the role requires both technical competence and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers and colleagues.
