Process Leader for Community Planning in Ulricehamn Municipality

The Environment and Community Planning sector consists of two units: the Environment and Building Unit and the Planning and Development Unit. At the Planning and Development Unit, we are a driven team of approximately 30 employees working with detailed and structural planning, GIS, mapping and surveying assignments, street and traffic planning, as well as land and development issues.

We are now looking for a Process Leader who wants to help shape the future Ulricehamn. In this role, you will hold a central position in our operations, leading and coordinating projects and processes that will influence the municipality's development for years to come. You will work closely with politicians, civil servants, developers, authorities, and residents to turn ideas from discussion into reality.

Job Responsibilities

As a Process Leader, you are responsible for driving and holding together projects and processes within the community planning sector. In the role, you will, among other things:

• Lead and coordinate projects within community planning and development.
• Coordinate various actors, handle conflicting goals, and find ways forward in complex processes.
• Lead or participate in investigation and design work.
• Prepare materials and support decision-making processes.
• Contribute to the development of the unit's working methods and processes.

The work involves many contact points both within and outside the municipality. You will collaborate closely with politicians, developers, authorities, consultants, businesses, and residents.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in community planning, construction, planning, or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience leading projects, processes, or development work where several actors need to collaborate to achieve common goals. For this position, you need to have a good understanding of the community planning process and how different interests, regulations, and actors influence each other. Knowledge of the planning process, the Planning and Building Act, and the Environmental Code is required. You must be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is also meritorious if you have experience with digital tools such as GIS systems, project tools, or other support systems within the community planning sector.
