About the role

In the role of Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work on the development and further development of advanced machine systems. You are responsible for translating product requirements into well-thought-out and manufacturable design solutions, following the development process from concept and design to prototype, verification, and production adaptation.

You work with mechanical design in Creo, create drawings, technical documentation, and apply tolerances to components and assemblies. The role also involves conducting technical analyses and ensuring that the designs meet high requirements for function, quality, and manufacturability. You will become part of a cross-functional development team, collaborating closely with colleagues in mechanics, electronics, software, and production to ensure a well-integrated and production-ready machine solution.

Specifically, you will:

• Develop mechanical solutions for advanced machine systems.
• Design in Creo and create drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure function, quality, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronic, software, and production teams.

We are looking for someone with:

• A post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of work experience in mechanical design.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to see the big picture, understand the interaction between different subsystems, and create design documentation, drawings, and tolerance-set details.
• Experience with 3D-CAD, preferably Creo.
• Ability to work independently and drive your own design tasks from idea to finished solution.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Additional qualifications:

• Experience with PDM systems (Windchill).

About the employment

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that you will eventually be directly employed by the client.

• Salary: Fixed monthly salary.
