to apply for the job
This position is for you with a technical property background who has a genuine interest in buildings and people.
At Higab, you will encounter an unusually broad technical environment. Here you will find theaters, market halls, industrial buildings, arenas, and culturally historic buildings – each house with its own conditions, challenges, and history. The portfolio includes many of Gothenburg's most famous and beloved buildings, such as Feskekôrka, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Ullevi, and Stora Saluhallen.
You will become part of an engaged and cohesive team that coordinates the technical work in our properties. You support each other in the daily work with contractor contacts, authority inspections, and maintenance planning, in close collaboration with property managers, property technicians, and operations technicians. Together, you ensure that the buildings and tenants are well taken care of.
About the role
As a Technical Property Manager, you have the big picture, from the details of everyday life to long-term plans. You know your properties well, identify needs in good time, plan interventions, and ensure that the work is carried out with quality and a strong customer focus.
The role includes, among other things:
- ordering operations and property maintenance
- planning and ordering maintenance
- handling invoices
- conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with authority requirements
- contributing to budget work and financial follow-up together with the property manager
- ongoing communication with contractors and tenants
The work is independent, and you largely plan your own day-to-day activities based on the needs of the properties and operations.
We are looking for
We are looking for you with several years of technical experience within the property sector. You have relevant post-secondary education. It is an advantage if you have a background in HVAC, control, and regulation systems. We would prefer if you currently work as a Technical Property Manager. You have previously worked in an independent role and have experience driving smaller projects. A driver's license is required.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You thrive in a role where you take overall responsibility and drive the work forward. You have a good ability to see what needs to be done before it becomes a problem.
You collaborate naturally with others, share your knowledge, and contribute to a flat organizational structure. Contact with tenants is a natural part of the work, and you always meet people in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
You are also confident in working with planned maintenance – ordering, instructing, and following up on contractors' work with quality and clarity.
Why Higab
At Higab, we do not just work with properties. We manage parts of Gothenburg's shared history and future. Our buildings are important places in people's daily lives, and this is reflected in the engagement of both employees and operations.
Here you get to work long-term in an organization with strong competence, high job satisfaction, and a clear social mission. You become part of a company where people care – about the city, about the buildings, and about each other.
We believe in knowledge sharing and community, and through both internal initiatives and social activities, we create space for development and well-being. Naturally, we also offer benefits such as a fitness allowance.
