Power Line Project Engineer at Norconsult

About the Role

Here, you will become part of Norconsult's power line operations, where we primarily work on design for regional and national grids. The role can be based in Gothenburg, Trollhättan, Stockholm, or another location where we have operations. Our power line departments consist of just over 30 employees, and we work closely together across office boundaries.

As a power line project engineer, you will primarily work with overhead line design within regional and national grids. You will be involved in projects through various stages and work with technical solutions, dimensioning, and modeling. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in different technical areas.

Our assignments come from some of Sweden's largest players in the energy sector, and we are currently seeing strong demand for our services, which means we have a significant recruitment need.

Your Profile

You have a relevant technical education, such as a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or alternatively a University College Diploma (YH), as well as at least 3 years of experience in overhead line design, preferably for voltage levels from 130 kV and upwards. You are well-versed in the various tasks and deliverables involved in overhead line design and work independently in design tools such as PLS-CADD and/or ICEtow.

As we design based on models and have already delivered several projects paperless in full-scale BIM, we would appreciate it if you had previous experience with or an interest in model-based deliverables.

It is an advantage if you have experience with FME and AMA, if you are trained/certified in ESA and BAS-P/U, and if you have established contacts in the industry.

You are a structured, responsive, and business-minded person who takes responsibility for your tasks. You can work independently within your field, but prefer to collaborate with others. You strengthen the team by sharing your knowledge with less experienced colleagues and contribute to a non-hierarchical work climate. Additionally, you are innovative and appreciate a development-oriented approach to work.
