Stigslund School is a school for grades F-9 located in a beautiful outdoor environment, approximately 3 km from Gävle city center. We actively work on preventive and promoting efforts to maintain a safe environment and good working atmosphere at our school. We create good conditions for this through dedicated educators, an active student health service, and visible school leadership. We have good collaboration with homes, which is important and a prerequisite for our success in our mission. An important part of our pedagogical work is developing students' reading competence in all subjects. We are convinced that good reading competence is a key to success in school and in life.

Now is the opportunity to become part of Stigslund School! We are looking for an engaged teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to contribute to an inspiring and developing learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. The role includes teaching with class responsibility as well as mentorship. Together with colleagues, you will contribute to creating a safe, joyful, and varied school day where the students' best interests are always in focus.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Teaching in grades 4-6 in the subject MA/NO (Mathematics/Natural Sciences).
• Actively working on students' reading competence in all subjects.
• Planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of teaching.
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching according to their prerequisites.
• Mentorship.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, the student health service, guardians, and is performed according to current goals and guidelines. In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good attitude, a good ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 and the subjects MA/NO.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office.
• Additional merit for the position with broad subject eligibility.

Working hours: Daytime.
