Arbetscenter is Surahammar Municipality's labor market unit. We offer support and activities to individuals who are outside the labor market with the goal of strengthening their skills and opportunities for work, studies, and self-sufficiency. The operations include café activities, second-hand sales, the Leisure Bank, and assignments within the municipality's various units. With us, participants get a meaningful daily life and the opportunity to grow at their own pace. Arbetscenter is part of the Business Unit and works closely with the municipality's work on competence supply and business development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives while leading an operation in collaboration between several authorities? Our current operations manager/social consultant plans to retire, so we are looking for a new engaged and driven operations manager for the successful Coordination Team in Surahammar Municipality. In this role, you will have a key role in leading and shaping operations that successfully support individuals in their journey toward work or studies. You will work closely with a competent team in an operation that truly makes a difference. We warmly welcome your application!

The position is a combined role where you work 25% as the operations manager for the Coordination Team and 75% as a social consultant.

In the role of operations manager for the Coordination Team, which is conducted within the framework of FINSAM (a Swedish inter-agency cooperation model), you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing an inter-agency cooperation assignment. The assignment aims to strengthen individuals' opportunities to approach the labor market and achieve self-sufficiency. Through the role as a social consultant, you also have a close focus on participants and work operationally to support individuals in their development toward increased independence and self-sufficiency. The work includes, among other things, group leadership, individual conversations, and cooperation meetings together with participants and relevant actors.

You have overall responsibility for the operation's planning, quality, and development, as well as ensuring effective cooperation between the involved parties. The role also includes responsibility for follow-up, analysis, and reporting of the operation's results, where you, among other things, compile an annual report for the financier. Through systematic development work, you contribute to the operation reaching its goals and continuing to develop based on the needs of participants and cooperation partners. You are also involved in the operation's financial work and, together with the responsible unit manager, share responsibility for budget, follow-up, and financial planning.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the operation in close cooperation with cooperation partners
  • Responsible for planning, follow-up, and quality assurance
  • Work operationally with participants through individual conversations and group activities
  • Coordinate efforts regarding participants in contact with authorities and healthcare
  • Support participants on their path toward work or studies
  • Contribute to a solution-focused approach in the team

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education in social work or equivalent, and have experience in cooperation between authorities and/or rehabilitative work. You are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented, with a genuine commitment to supporting, developing, and motivating people in change processes. You are secure in your professional role and have a good ability to meet and handle varying situations with professionalism, judgment, and a calm approach, with the ability to work both strategically and operationally.

You thrive in a leadership role where you take responsibility, drive the work forward, and create structure and direction in the operation. With your own drive and good initiative, you actively contribute to both the daily work and the development of the operation.

You contribute to a professional and respectful work climate and value good cooperation, both within the team and with external actors. You have a development-oriented approach and see opportunities to improve methods and structures.

Furthermore, you are self-reliant while having very good cooperation skills and understanding of the importance of shared responsibility. You are accustomed to meeting individuals with different needs for support and guidance and have the ability to adapt your approach based on the individual's conditions.

The position involves working in a cohesive work group where close dialogue, trust, and a flat hierarchy collaboration are crucial to achieving common goals.

Duration: Permanent, Start date: Start date by agreement, recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application period ends.

The Coordination Team Surahammar is a joint effort between Surahammar Municipality, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and Region Västmanland. The operation is financed by the Västmanland Coordination Consortium. In the team, you work together with an employment consultant and a counselor. Together, you support individuals aged 16-67 who are in need of coordinated efforts to approach work or studies. We work in a solution-focused manner, with both individual support and group activities, where the focus is on strengthening the individual's own resources and opportunities for self-sufficiency.

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police's criminal record and the suspicion register that is no more than 6 months old.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
