About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) has the main task of managing the operation and maintenance of command support systems at all readiness levels, both nationally and internationally. The unit you will belong to is managed from Örebro, but the work is based in Stockholm.
Main Responsibilities
The role of Facility Maintenance Technician involves the operation and maintenance of defense-specific facilities within the areas of electricity, HVAC, cooling, ventilation, control and regulation, as well as protective structures. We perform supervision and management as well as planned and corrective maintenance. The work is varied in nature and requires independence and creativity to find solutions to problems.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Appropriate post-secondary education in areas such as facility technology, building automation, electrical engineering, or refrigeration technology, or equivalent competence obtained through experience
- Experience working in one or more of the areas: electricity, HVAC, cooling, ventilation, control and regulation, or protective structures
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Driver's license, class B or higher
Meritorious Qualifications
- Previous service in the Swedish Armed Forces or another defense-related authority
- Completed conscription with passing grades
- Training and certifications relevant to the work

Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probation period for those not already employed by the authority. Employment level: Full-time. The position is civilian. Workplace: Stockholm. Business travel occurs, as well as work at irregular hours. Start date and salary according to agreement.
