About the position

The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) has the main task of managing the operation and maintenance of command and control support systems at all readiness levels, both nationally and internationally. The unit you will belong to is led from Örebro, but the work is based in Stockholm and distributed across several buildings. The technical area of Technical Surveillance (TB) is a collective term for the Swedish Armed Forces' alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. Main responsibilities

Your main responsibilities involve performing service, installation, and commissioning of technical security installations. This takes place within and outside the Stockholm garrison at various types of facilities. The work includes intrusion alarms, access control, and camera systems, as well as handling the integration of security products into local and global network structures. You will work in a team with technicians in different areas of responsibility who together manage operation and maintenance, both inside and outside the garrison. Since the work involves significant contact with both end-users and clients, we value developed social skills and the ability to work both independently and in a group.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Completed upper secondary education in electrical or telecommunications technology, or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Category B driver's license.

QUALIFICATIONS

We consider it advantageous if you have worked with, or have experience of:

  • Current and relevant work experience with CCTV, alarm, and camera systems.
  • Systems: Pacom Unison, Sentrion S4, Milestone, Bosch VMS.
  • Professional experience from service jobs with electromechanical locks.
  • Good knowledge of surveillance systems.
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with working in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Experience in control and regulation technology.
  • Completed basic military training (conscription, GMU, GSU, combatant training, or GU-F).

You have good initiative and always strive to achieve high-quality results. Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency. Employment level: Full-time. Readiness service during non-standard working hours may occur. The position is civilian. Workplace: Stockholm. Travel to other locations in Sweden may occur. Start date and salary according to agreement.

A position with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
