The Challenge

In this role, you will primarily work with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of the Stockholm Metro's signaling safety systems and their operating systems, as well as service assignments within electric power for rail-bound traffic.

You will also participate in planned projects and commissioning together with our customers on new routes in the Stockholm area. Our projects include TB1, Lidingöbanan, Saltsjöbanan, and equipment on vehicle types C20 and C30. Siemens signaling systems have been on TB1 since 2000, covering 49 stations and 41.5 km of track. We have also recently commissioned a couple of upgraded signal boxes with track circuit systems TCM100 and Westrace MKII in the areas of Skogskyrkogården, Gubbängen, and Farsta.

Our team of seven colleagues is located near our customer at the Siemens office at Hammarby depot. Since the position involves scheduled on-call duty and night work, we believe you live in the Stockholm region.

Who are we looking for?

You are a problem solver driven by delivering good service and solutions to our customers. You are perceived by your surroundings as careful, quality-conscious, and responsive. You want to develop in a team with engaged and competent colleagues. At the same time, it is important that you thrive with significant personal responsibility for your tasks and have the ability to independently plan and execute your work. You have good experience using IT support in your work.

Experience with signaling systems is advantageous, and a large part of the work is focused on this. Training for Signaling Safety Systems such as Simis C, ATP LZB 730, FTGS 917, ACM200, TCM100, Westrace MKII, Simatic S7/400, and basic knowledge of the Operator System VICOS for traffic control will be offered.

Qualifications

• Technical education at minimum upper secondary level with several years of experience working with low-voltage installations
• Experienced in working in rail environments, Subway, or railway
• Approved basic signaling training or ongoing training. For example, BSG1, BSG2
• Signaling technical principles and basics (BSGS)
• Driver's license is a requirement for the position
• Good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English

Advantageous

• Professional experience in signaling work within railways
• Electrical Safety Leader; track work, work equipment, and rail vehicles, low and high voltage
• Protection and Safety Leader (SOS Leader)
• Inspector (TSM)
• SISÄ qualification

It is advantageous, but not a requirement, if you have competence and experience with high-voltage installations and/or signaling systems; the same applies to Simatic S5 / S7 as well as ZUB222C for Lidingöbanan and Saltsjöbanan.
