The school is vibrant, with just over 1,000 students in grades F-9. We have spacious and functional premises, a fantastic schoolyard with access to an artificial turf field, an ice rink, and the Eriksdal swimming pool in our immediate vicinity. Together, approximately 200 employees work every day to create the best school for our students.

Job Description

As a caretaker at Eriksdalsskolan, you will be part of the school's service team, working alongside another caretaker, two school secretaries, a school assistant, an IT coordinator, and a head chef. Your direct supervisor is the school's administrative manager.

Your duties include the maintenance, upkeep, and inspection of the school's premises, systematic fire safety work, handling technical equipment, and acting as a contact person both internally and externally. Together with your fellow caretaker, you are responsible for alarms, opening and closing the premises, rearranging furniture, ordering materials, receiving goods, and deliveries.

Working hours vary depending on whether you are responsible for opening the school at 07:00 or closing it at 18:00.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with upper secondary education or relevant work experience for this position. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and enjoy collaborating with others. Since the role involves significant contact with students, staff, and external partners, it is important that you are social and able to build good relationships.

You must communicate well in Swedish, as we have many contacts with external craftsmen.

The job includes administrative tasks such as reporting faults to our property manager, booking inspections, and following up on safety rounds. The school uses a digital case management system, so you should be comfortable using a computer and have good prioritization skills to ensure tasks are completed in the correct order.

Merits: Previous experience as a caretaker and/or education as a carpenter, painter, electrician, or similar.
