Lovö Water Treatment Plant is one of two water treatment plants owned by Stockholm Vatten och Avfall, producing drinking water for approximately 700,000 people in the Stockholm area. We are embarking on an exciting journey where we are investing in renovating and expanding our water treatment plants to ensure sustainable and secure water production for the future. Therefore, we are now looking for a qualified and experienced drift engineer to continue this work. Here, you will work in a dynamic environment where technology and sustainability are in focus, while playing a key role in developing and securing Stockholm's water supply – both today and for the future.

Job Responsibilities
As a drift engineer, you are responsible for the operational operation of Lovö Water Treatment Plant and ensure that drinking water production meets the correct quality and quantity standards. The work involves continuous monitoring and optimization of the facility's processes, troubleshooting during operational disruptions, and adjusting parameters to maintain stable and efficient production. You collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure long-term and sustainable operation, while contributing to the development and improvement of processes and routines.
The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probation period. Your workplace will be at Lovö Water Treatment Plant, beautifully located in Ekerö Municipality on the shore of Lake Mälaren.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Operationally optimize the plant's production based on current conditions.
- Take overall responsibility for operations, as well as planning and coordination regarding shutdowns and startups.
- Control the process both via the SCADA system from the control room and locally at the facility.
- Issue work permits and work preparations.
- Initiate and report work orders in our API system.
- Initiate, handle, and investigate operational deviations and occupational health and safety incidents.
- Contribute to and participate in development and project work, as well as the planning of investment and maintenance measures.
- Participate in our important systematic occupational health and safety work.
The work is performed in shifts. We use a 2-shift model including a day shift. Flextime can be used within certain timeframes during the day shift if operations allow. The position includes on-call duties, and to meet response time requirements, you must live near the plant. A personal car is required to manage the shift working hours.
Qualifications
We believe you have a good ability to analyze the balance in the production process and feel confident making independent decisions under time pressure. Additionally, you enjoy continuous improvements, have a solid technical background, and like to establish contacts both within and outside the organization. As a person, you are stress-resistant, unpretentious, and have good collaboration skills.
To succeed in the role, you have the following competencies:
- University education with a relevant focus on the position, or a high school education with several years of experience from process and production. Previous work at a water treatment plant is meritorious.
- Ability to handle rapid transitions in the process.
- Experience working with control systems.
- Experience and interest in change/improvement work.
- Good IT skills.
- Valid B-class driver's license.
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
In your position, you will work with security-classified information. Security clearance and register checks will therefore be conducted in connection with employment.
