About the RoleYou will step into an assignment where nature values, species protection, and urban planning meet. As a knowledge support in a municipal detailed planning process, you will analyze a natural area that is to be changed and create the basis for decisions that affect both development and biological diversity.
The assignment covers an area with, among other things, grasslands, deciduous trees, bushes, stone slabs, and a protected tree alley. You work with identifying nature values and species protection regulation species, assessing the impact of the planning proposal, and contributing recommendations on how negative consequences can be avoided or reduced.
This is an interesting role for you who want to combine field surveys, analysis, and advisory work in an assignment where your work has direct significance for how nature values are handled in planning.
Responsibilities- You conduct a preliminary nature value survey of the land according to the current SIS standard.
- You survey invasive species, protected and valuable trees, as well as species protection regulation species.
- You perform supplementary surveys as needed based on results from previous surveys.
- You describe the area in relation to the surrounding landscape, ecological sensitivity, and opportunities for preserving and enhancing nature values.
- You assess how identified nature values and species protection regulation species are affected by the proposed detailed plan.
- You provide advice on the design of the detailed planning proposal and suggest relevant compensation and protection measures.
- You produce written reports for nature value surveys and species protection surveys, including photographic documentation of relevant objects.
- You produce map data according to geodata requirements, deliver georeferenced information in SHP format, and can also deliver in DWG format if needed.
- You publish relevant species findings in Artportalen and report the estimated impact area as an area.
- You participate in coordination meetings, complete the investigations until the adoption of the detailed plan, and assist in any appeals.
- You have experience from previous assignments involving nature value surveys.
- You have experience surveying species protection regulation species.
- You have expertise in nature value surveys and species protection regulation species, especially within benthic fauna and macrophytes.
- You can conduct nature value surveys of the land according to the current SIS standard and deliver a report according to Swedish Standard SS 199000:2023.
- You can produce map data and georeferenced information in SHP format.
- You can deliver written reports in PDF format according to accessibility requirements based on EN 301 549 V2.1.2 and WCAG 2.1.
- You can document relevant objects in text and image and describe species findings specifically.
- You have the opportunity to conduct surveys during the periods when each species is suitable for surveying.
- You communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
