The Department of Societal Development, consisting of three divisions, is a key player in the development of Täby. The divisions work in parallel in a project format, creating conditions for varied work together with other professions. With a focus on four new sustainable neighborhoods with different architectures, our employees are given great opportunities to influence with their specialist knowledge. Currently, 18 people work at the Planning Unit to create conditions for a sustainable society for everyone who lives, visits, and works in Täby. We work with detailed plans, strategic planning, nature reserves, and much more. The unit is divided into two groups, the Planning Group and the Environmental Group – where operational work is led by group leaders. You will belong to the Planning Unit's Environmental Group, which serves as an expert resource in the Department of Societal Development's work with environmental and water issues. The Environmental Group consists of 5 employees: group leader, environmental planner, and water planner. The Environmental Group works with environmental support in various types of urban development projects and deals with strategic environmental issues such as action programs for good surface water status and establishing nature reserves. Your Responsibilities

As a Water Planner, you coordinate the municipality's water protection work and serve as an expert resource on water issues. You have an overview of planned and implemented water-related interventions and measures within the municipality with the aim of ensuring stormwater management, good surface water status in the municipality's lakes, watercourses, and groundwater occurrences. The Water Planner leads the work within the area of responsibility but also supports others within the Department of Societal Development within the field of competence. The work is cross-functional and conducted in collaboration with other actors. The role is varied and requires independence, attention to detail, and an understanding of how to work in a politically governed organization.

You are a confident person who builds trust and serves as a stable point for colleagues. You are collaborative, non-hierarchical, and curious about others' perspectives. Through your solution-oriented and structured approach, you contribute to high quality in the work. You are communicative, see the big picture, and enjoy project work. We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in environmental or natural sciences, or equivalent competence.
• At least five years of experience as a water planner, water coordinator, water strategist, or similar.
• Experience in driving projects and leading consultants/colleagues.
• Good knowledge of environmental legislation and MNK (Municipal Nature and Environmental Protection) for water.
• Experience in developing action plans and measures for good water status.
• Experience in climate adaptation with a focus on stormwater and flood risks.
• Proficiency in communicating in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Very good collaboration skills and experience with project work.
