The Geriatric Centre is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. Interprofessional teams conduct comprehensive assessments of elderly patients' medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity during illness. Diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in both inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on the patient's individual needs.

Ward 4 provides acute and subacute orthogeriatric care and rehabilitation. We are now looking for a new colleague for a permanent position. - Are you the one we are looking for?

All our new colleagues undergo our introduction program together with experienced colleagues over a period of 4 weeks, giving you a good insight, understanding, and basic security in your role. The work primarily involves daytime, evening, and weekend hours, and potentially night shifts if needed and agreed upon, according to an AB-schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse assistant (undersköterska) with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

As a nurse assistant at Geriatrics Ward 4, you will have a developing, educational, and varied job in a team with a joy for work. Here, nurse assistants play a vital and natural role in the care team, and your work contributes to patient-safe care of good quality. To grow in your professional role and provide the best care, we believe it is important to have job satisfaction and the opportunity for continuous development. In the role of a nurse assistant, care work with a rehabilitative approach is fundamental, and you are a key part of the team's work in supporting patients to become more independent and involved in their daily lives. The work is carried out in close collaboration with nurses, but the team also includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, as well as social workers and dietitians as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a nurse assistant education and a certified course in emergency care. You enjoy working with the elderly, put the patient first, have a good attitude, and adapt your care to the patient's different needs throughout the care process. You are interested in rehabilitation and stimulating the patient to activity and involvement in their daily life.

You take initiative, are easy to work with, and are curious about new challenges. You feel responsible and thrive in an environment with varied tasks and changing intensity. You work together with nurses, doctors, and paramedical staff, but also have a significant part of the workday where you work independently, where cooperation, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail are qualities we value. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As of July 1, 2023, "nurse assistant" (undersköterska) is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title nurse assistant within care and social services. You apply for the certificate of protected professional title for nurse assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you have already received this certificate, we request that you attach it to your application.
