At Public Dental Care (Folktandvården), we are at the forefront of research and development and have a close collaboration with the Department of Odontology at Umeå University. Within Public Dental Care, we cover a wide range of competencies. We provide both general and specialist dental care, and we are also involved in the clinical education of dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, and dental technicians. We work in modern, well-equipped facilities and are located in several places throughout the county. We are now looking for dental nurses for Public Dental Care in Holmsund and Nordmaling. We provide modern, health-oriented dental care for both children and adults, and we are looking for you who want to make a difference. Your Workplace

Holmsund is a coastal community just outside Umeå where work life and quality of life go hand in hand. Here you work close to nature, the sea, and the forest, but with Umeå's pulse only 20 minutes away. In Holmsund, you get short commuting times, a family-friendly community, and a warm sense of community where it is easy to feel at home.

Nordmaling is located on the coast, midway between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik, with good opportunities to commute by bus and train. For those who choose to settle in Nordmaling, an active life awaits with proximity to both forest, sea, and city life.

Responsibilities

As a dental nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You will have a fun and varied job and will be part of a work team together with dentists and dental hygienists. The work mainly involves assisting practitioners and performing your own patient work, such as informing and instructing patients, as well as reception and sterilization work and administrative tasks.

If you are a recent graduate, you will receive introduction and supervision to help you develop and grow in your professional role. We are proud of the collaboration between our clinics, and working at one or more of the workplaces included in the base unit may be relevant. The work can also take place outside the clinic, for example in collaboration with Health Centers, schools, or elderly care.

We use digital booking and 1177, as well as the medical record system T4 and the communication solution Tele-Q.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who are a trained dental nurse and want to contribute to quality-oriented dental care for both children and adults. You have a genuine interest in patient meetings and enjoy working in an organization where preventive measures, good service, and professional treatment are important parts of everyday life.

We would prefer that you have a few years of experience and feel confident working independently. You have the ability to perform prophylactic measures, assess patients' needs, and analyze which actions can contribute to better oral health, as well as an understanding of the connection between oral health, individual well-being, and the importance of general health status.

As a person, you are flexible, have good communication skills, have a good ability to organize and prioritize work, and consider care and service a natural part of the job. You are attentive to your surroundings and have the ability to adapt your treatment based on who you meet and what the situation requires. You find it easy to work together with others and want to contribute to development that leads to improved working methods.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in teamwork is meritorious, and we would be pleased if you have knowledge of the medical record system T4, 1177, and Tele-Q.
