We are looking for two driven resident doctors (underläkare) who can assist on the wards and in the emergency department while gaining experience at a general surgical clinic. We are a district hospital with a broad mandate that includes surgery, urology, and care for certain oncological patients. We also have a significant surgical workload involving various regional assignments for specific procedures, covering both benign and malignant surgery. We provide 24/7 on-call service with trauma care. Our catchment area covers approximately 80,000 people across a large geographical region. We work in the Cosmic system.

The work is primarily as a resident doctor on the wards and in the emergency department, including on-call duties, including night shifts, after an introductory period. There will also be opportunities to participate in surgeries and outpatient clinics. On-call compensation and ATL (Additional Time for Learning) are provided according to regional framework agreements. We have a relatively young medical staff and welcome new colleagues.

Job Description

As a resident doctor with us, you will gain knowledge and experience of what it is like to work in surgical operations. You will, among other things, perform outpatient work, ward rounds with good support, and work in the emergency department. On-call service is included.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician in Sweden, or have completed medical education. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, corresponding to C1 level, both in speech and writing.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer. Start date: 2026-09-01. Possible start in September-October. If starting later, the end date will be adjusted accordingly. Six-month position or as agreed. End date: 2027-01-01.
Working hours: Roster/Schedule.
