The position is located within the Social Services Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Administration is responsible for official duties, commissioning of interventions, and own management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your responsibilities

As a housing support worker, you provide support to the resident in their daily life based on individual needs. The work takes place within the framework of contact personship, where you, together with the individual, plan, structure, and follow up on their daily life. The interventions are designed jointly and are based on an implementation plan.

The support may cover various parts of daily living, for example, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and care. In your work, you must always respect the individual's self-determination, integrity, and participation, as well as strengthen the individual's confidence in their own abilities.

The work also involves offering and motivating activities, social community, and engagement. You work with motivational interviewing (MI) and have a pedagogical approach. If necessary, you can support the individual in contacting authorities and accompany them to activities.

We work according to the methods ESL (An Independent Life), low-affective handling, and IBIC (The Individual's Needs at the Center). The role also includes documentation, record keeping, and keeping implementation plans current and living.

Your workplace

Fogdegatan 53 is a 24/7 operation with 16 apartments. The housing is aimed at people with mental illness, substance abuse, and neuropsychiatric functional variations. The staff group consists of seven housing support workers, a support educator, and a group leader, with access to a nurse. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are educated as a nurse assistant or caretaker, or alternatively, other equivalent education. It is meritorious if your education is focused on psychiatry/care. To succeed in the role, you need experience in psychiatry and/or neuropsychiatry as well as care work. You have knowledge of psychiatry and low-affective handling.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with substance abuse issues and social work. Knowledge of the work methods ESL, MI, and pedagogical approach is also meritorious.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills since documentation and record keeping are an important part of the job. A car is used in the position, which means that a driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.
