Liseberg operates the amusement park Liseberg, which opened in connection with the Jubilee Exhibition in Gothenburg in 1923. Adjacent to the park is also the Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel and Oceana Water World, which will open in 2027. Together, they create the Liseberg destination – a world of experiences. Liseberg has approximately 550 permanent employees, around 3,000 seasonal employees, and welcomes approximately 2.5 million guests every year.
Liseberg's marketing department is part of the Commercial business area and is responsible for strengthening the brand and creating communication that attracts new visitors and builds long-term relationships with guests. The department acts as a strategic and operational marketing partner to the entire organization and is responsible for the planning, production, and implementation of communication efforts across a variety of channels.
The marketing department consists of 22 employees distributed across four teams – Project Management, Studio, Communication & PR, and Digital Customer Journey – and works in close collaboration with external agency partners within advertising, media, digital development, and production.
In the role of Interim Marketing Manager, the focus will be on ensuring continuity in marketing work, leading the department, and creating structure in a high-paced operation. During the assignment, special focus will be placed on preparations for the summer and Halloween seasons in 2027, as well as the launch of Oceana Water World.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
- Being responsible for coordinating and developing Liseberg's marketing and communications work in accordance with the current strategy and brand platform.
- Ensuring that marketing work is well-rooted in the organization, conducted in a structured manner, and aligned with the company's goals.
- Leading and supporting the marketing department's four teams and creating good conditions for collaboration and results.
- Monitoring marketing data and reporting results to management and relevant functions.
- Serving as the contact person for marketing matters both internally and externally.
- Participating in relevant meetings and working groups to ensure coordination, continuity, and business value.
This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by us at StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at Liseberg. The position is full-time and planned to start as soon as possible, but no later than August 10, 2026. The assignment runs until February 28, 2027.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for you who:
- Have completed a relevant higher education or university degree.
- Have at least three years of experience in strategic, tactical, and operational marketing and communications work with documented good results.
- Have at least six years of leadership experience.
- Have experience working with both the client and supplier side within communications and advertising agency services.
- Experience from the visitor industry or cultural activities is an advantage.
