The Business Area (VO) Adult Psychiatry in Lund, with approximately 570 employees, is divided into four areas: general psychiatric inpatient care and emergency clinic, general psychiatric outpatient care, dependency/psychosis inpatient and outpatient care PIVA, as well as the resource unit and national highly specialized care within the areas of difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior for children and adults, gender dysphoria, and eating disorder care for adults. VO Adult Psychiatry Lund is a university healthcare unit, and the operations are characterized by diversity and high competence with proximity to research and teaching. We are constantly working to improve and develop specialist psychiatric care, and several research and development projects are underway.

Here we conduct a wide range of psychiatric activities where the employees within the business area together possess a large and consolidated competence. We are housed in bright and modern premises in Lund. The catchment area is Lund with eight surrounding municipalities.

The Adult Psychiatry Dependency Clinic is an outpatient clinic whose task is to diagnose and provide care and treatment to patients with alcohol, drug, and dual dependency of such severity that specialist care is required. The clinic has close cooperation with Adult Psychiatry Ward 8 Dependency, and there is an established care chain for patients seeking help for their dependency disease. The dependency clinic is in an exciting development phase with the implementation of the FACT model.

At the clinic, we work in an interprofessional team consisting of specialist doctors, nurses, social workers, ST-doctors, assistant nurses/caregivers, and medical secretaries. DUTIES

We within the dependency care in Lund welcome an assistant nurse/caregiver within psychiatry to us!

As an assistant nurse, you are responsible for the patients' care and treatment together with the rest of the team. The duties include sample collection (blood, urine, and saliva) and recovery and preventive measures individually or in groups, as well as home visits or other patient meetings outside the clinic. Independently and together with other professions, you work with the patient's care planning and follow-up. The duties include administration such as record keeping, handling 1177, My Plans, and staffing the clinic phone. In the team, we share responsibility areas belonging to the unit, and you see it as a matter of course to take on some or all of these and to make the daily operations of the clinic work together with your colleagues. The duties on Ward 8 Dependency include nursing work, documentation, and other responsibilities linked to the ward.

The placement is at the Adult Psychiatry Dependency Clinic but is shared with Adult Psychiatry Ward 8 Dependency in the form of weekend service according to schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse or specialist assistant nurse in psychiatry. This means you have a approved upper secondary care and nursing education (2500 credits), approved care and nursing education via Komvux (minimum 1350 credits) or another equivalent assistant nurse education. The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also master basic medical-technical moments at the assistant nurse level. Experience working as an assistant nurse/caregiver within psychiatry is a requirement for the position. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group, psychiatric nursing, and/or FACT. Furthermore, we would like you to have training and experience working with Motivational Interviewing (MI) and the Recovery Guide. Good computer skills and proficiency in record keeping are advantageous.

As a person, you have a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing and always put the patient in focus. Furthermore, you have good prioritization skills and contribute to a good working environment. You are secure, stable, and have a low-affective approach in stressful situations. With a high sense of service and responsibility, as well as good cooperation skills, you meet the situation the patient and their relatives face with humility. We are keen on finding the right person and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Attach the assistant nurse certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare if you have managed to get it, or a degree certificate to the application. If you have not yet received the certificate, you will be given the title of nursing assistant in the meantime. If you were employed as an assistant nurse on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, or if you wish to keep the professional title caregiver and were employed as such before November 1, 2023, submit a certificate confirming this.
