Job Description
We are now welcoming you who are looking for a varied and stimulating job where you play a significant role in the collaboration with your colleagues in the surgical team! Do you have experience or interest in being a principal supervisor? We would like to specifically highlight that one of the positions includes a task as a principal supervisor for 20 percent. We view positively applicants who wish to contribute to supervision, development, and learning in our operations.
In the role of Perioperative Nurse, you work with pre- and perioperative care. Together with your colleagues, you strive to offer the patient the best possible care with warmth, security, and competence. Furthermore, you aim to ensure the patient feels well-cared for both before and during the surgery. As a Perioperative Nurse, you assist in all types of surgeries and participate in pre- and post-operative tasks such as setting up sterile fields and handling used instruments. In your daily work, you also handle a significant amount of medical technical equipment.
As a Perioperative Nurse with us, you have a section affiliation, but with some introduction to all sections. During on-call duties, the workplace is divided into two sections: Surgery/Mixed and Orthopedics. This means you work in your section but also need to be on standby for emergency procedures in other sections. During night shifts, two Perioperative Nurses are on duty and one operating room is staffed, but with standby for urgent activities.
With us, you plan your work shifts according to a business-adapted preference schedule. The work involves day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. We have a working time model based on the number of hours worked during inconvenient hours. You receive a working time reduction when working during inconvenient hours.
The introduction is tailored individually based on your previous experience. On the department, we offer four study days per year, annual CPR training, and opportunities for trauma training.
Qualifications
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with specialist education in perioperative care and eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is meritorious if you have experience working in a Department of Surgery with a mixed portfolio of elective and emergency activities. Furthermore, we would appreciate if you have good knowledge of the medical record systems Orbit and Melior.
We are looking for you who want a job characterized by excitement and variation, while having the ability to remain calm, prioritize tasks, and take responsibility for ensuring the patient receives the best care. As a person, you are secure, flexible, and meticulous. It is important that you have a willingness to take responsibility and often bring your own initiatives. You also have a desire to develop and learn new things. You thrive in teamwork and contribute to a joyful work environment, collaboration, and good atmosphere. Being a good ambassador for our values – welcoming, driving, consideration, and respect – we hope is just as obvious for you as it is for us. Since we are keen on finding the right person for the position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
