We are now looking for a vocational teacher in healthcare and social care. The adult education program is based on the needs of the people of Kalix, and our goal is to offer the best possible service to those who contact us. Your responsibilities

Teaching with a focus on nursing assistant/practical nurse (undersköterska). You support and lead our students in their development processes. You contribute your competence to the operation as a whole and have great opportunities to be part of our development and quality work by conducting teaching at both individual and group levels with high quality, as well as being an active participant in collegial learning.

You collaborate with other teachers to achieve the goals of the education, and you are knowledgeable about and work based on regulatory documents, which includes among other things:

• Taking responsibility for students' knowledge growth, supporting their personal development, and creating good conditions for each student's learning, development, and ability to develop critical thinking.
• Conducting, developing, and leading education with high quality and commitment.
• Being open to new ideas and changes.

We are looking for

You who are trained as a healthcare and social care teacher with a teacher license for vocational teachers or equivalent competence.

We would prefer that you have a nursing education or other healthcare education that the employer considers relevant for the position, preferably with competence within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and psychiatry. We also see that you have previous experience of teaching and planning within adult education and/or upper secondary school, and working with workplace-based learning (APL) placements, as well as validation.

It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education, knowledge, and experience within validation. We would prefer that you have knowledge of regulatory documents within adult education and/or upper secondary school. It is also an advantage if you have good data and IT skills and are accustomed to working with learning platforms and media, as well as having good linguistic competence.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical ability to adapt teaching and your pedagogical methods based on individual and group needs, so that the student in the best possible way reaches their goal in the teaching. We see that you are interested in development and change work to meet the industry's and education's need for competence and quality.

You are flexible, solution-focused, self-initiating, and have good collaboration skills. We also see that you are relationship-building and can create good contacts with colleagues, students, APL placements, and supervisors.
