About the Role
Hello! Are you our new colleague?
We are currently looking for a resource staff member for Fjälldalens Preschool.
Fjälldalens Preschool is a preschool with six departments located close to nature and the mountains, which opened in January 2025. We are looking for you who want to join a wonderful group of colleagues and work as a resource staff member within a team. At the preschool, we meet our children in their first education and their first steps in lifelong learning, and as a resource, you are important. We are looking for an engaged person who wants to work with children in need of special support.

Responsibilities
The role of resource staff means that you will be an additional person in the work team so that the preschool can meet the needs of children requiring special support. You are part of the preschool team, and together you design a safe, stimulating, and developmental educational environment for the children, guided by the curriculum (Lpfö18), which describes the work and education the preschool offers. The team designs the education so that children in need of special support receive the necessary support and challenges for their development, and are stimulated and developed in their play and learning.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are educated as a preschool teacher (barnskötare) and who have good experience working with children in need of special support.
It is important that:
- you are familiar with our guiding document, the Preschool Curriculum (Lpfö18),
- you are a secure and clear leader, take initiative, are positive, and have confidence in the children's various competencies,
- you have a solution-focused approach, are flexible and innovative,
- you value trust-based relationships with children and guardians and have good collaboration skills,
- you use visual aids and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) / TAKK (Signs as Alternative Augmentative Communication).
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
- Within the framework of the National Minorities Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

You must also present a valid ID card showing citizenship and a valid work permit.

Working Hours/Duration
Full-time (100%) – fixed-term employment from October 2026 to June 2027.
