Your Role
We are looking for a Durability Engineer. The role involves developing specifications for the mechanics of our missile products. You will participate in planning and executing the verification of set environmental requirements, as well as in the technical development work for our future missile products.
The work spans the entire product development cycle and includes a broad range of tasks. Examples of tasks for the group may include:
- Predicting and defining environmental requirements for devices, components, and complete products.
- Investigating outcomes and developing action proposals.
- Verifying and validating that the developed design meets current requirements and is safe and sound from a durability perspective.

Your Profile
We are looking for you with a Master of Science degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, or Space Technology. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and interests. With the ability to collaborate and the desire to develop, you will go far in this role. Experience with durability work or verification testing is an advantage.
We would like you to have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical design.
- System design.
- Methods for verifying environmental requirements.
To be successful in any of our roles, you need to be able to read and write technical documentation in both Swedish and English.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

The Mechanics Department for Missile Systems has just over 100 employees working throughout the entire development chain from technology and product studies to finished products and product care. The area is distributed across three geographically distinct locations: Linköping, Karlskoga, and Karlstad. The current position is located in Linköping.
The Mechanical Analysis Section in Linköping consists of approximately 20 employees who, in addition to durability technology, also work with simulations regarding e.g., strength, structural dynamics, and thermodynamics, systems work within the mechanics area, and materials technology. Characteristic of the section is that employees work with many different products, which means great variation in tasks.
