About the role of Staffing and Scheduling Consultant

Your main responsibilities involve guiding the store in their staffing planning process, from a high-level strategic perspective down to scheduling at the department and individual levels. The work is largely carried out on-site in the stores, always in close dialogue with the store management. The goal of your assignment is to support the store in creating a staffing plan that balances business strategy, customer offering, and cost-efficiency through a consultative approach. You are responsible for your own sales, delivery, and professional development. Your performance is evaluated based on the impact created in the store, store satisfaction, and economic results.

You will be part of a regional team with broad expertise, collaborating with colleagues in areas such as profitable sales, store operations leadership, food and restaurant, and system support. Together, you will contribute to developing the business and profitability of ICA stores.

The role involves travel and overnight stays, so it is important that you have both the willingness and ability to travel for work. The mission of Store Consultant & Business Support is to develop and deliver products and services to ICA stores and store-adjacent roles, focusing on customer needs and store profitability by combining the expertise of experienced store employees with analytical skills and new technology. The business area consists of approximately 100 knowledgeable and engaged employees and generates an annual turnover of approximately 100 million SEK.

Who are you?

You are educated in HR and personnel science, or have equivalent knowledge through experience. It is meritorious if you have worked with needs and staffing planning, as well as scheduling and its systems within the grocery retail sector. You should have good knowledge of labor law, particularly working time acts, collective agreements, systematic work environment management, and union cooperation. As a person, we want you to be independent, proactive, solution-oriented, receptive, and structured. In addition to these traits, you should also have good pedagogical skills and be confident in yourself.

What happens next?

Location: The primary location is the South region, but your primary working time will be spent in our stores. A company car is available.

Employment type: The position is a permanent employment. Probationary period applies.
