As a student assistant, you are present as a resource for the students by supporting and motivating course participants during school hours. An important part of the work involves working with support and adaptation targeted at the participants with the goal that everyone should succeed in their studies in the best possible way.

You work together with the school's teachers to design the teaching, and as a student assistant, you are a mentor to a number of course participants.

The work also includes actively working with various leisure activities in the afternoon and evening, as well as being available during free time for course participants who live in the school's boarding house.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has worked as a student assistant and has experience working with people with various disabilities; primarily neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities.
• Has at least a high school diploma, preferably in the field of social and/or pedagogical work.
• Has good communication skills and high competence in creating safe and good relationships.
• Has a high ability for collegial collaboration and is flexible in work.

It is an advantage for the position if you have experience from adult education, preferably folk high school, and have a B driver's license.

Fellingsbro Folk High School is part of the Regional Development administration. The operations are located in Fellingsbro and Örebro and consist of general courses, profile courses, vocational training at upper secondary and post-secondary levels, and also distance courses. The school's profile is aimed at people with disabilities and has a multilingual perspective where Swedish in speech and writing, as well as Swedish Sign Language, form the foundation. The school also has an international commitment with, among other things, study trips and exchanges. In total, there are approximately 300 students at the school and about 70 employees.

The Regional Development administration works for regional development in our region. Our mission is to work for sustainable growth and good quality of life in the entire Region Örebro County. The area of responsibility is broad and extends from public health, education, and culture to business development, energy and climate, and public transport. The administration, which is one of five within Region Örebro County, consists of approximately 330 employees. We are a tobacco-free region and our shared vision is Together we create a better life.

The position is a term-limited position, evening work is included.
