About the position

We are now looking for a preschool teacher to strengthen our existing staff in the Björk-Haga area at Karlslund Preschool. We would like you, who want to work with us, to be open to working with all age groups. We have close cooperation between the departments at the preschool to create security for both small and large children. With us, the main task of the preschool teacher is to plan, implement, and ensure the content for good quality in teaching through evaluation, for both individual children and the group. We strive for children to gain new knowledge through both planned and spontaneous teaching, where the children's ideas and thoughts show the way to learning. We use both indoor and outdoor environments in our teaching. As a preschool teacher, you are a secure and inspiring educator who wants to try new challenges and be involved in our development work. You have scheduled planning time, and for newly graduated preschool teachers, there is an opportunity for support through mentorship.

Examples of duties:

• know and follow the current curriculum, laws, policies, and routines
• be responsible for leading, organizing, planning, implementing, and developing the teaching
• use methods and approaches in education based on scientific grounds and proven experience
• be responsible for working to ensure that every child and the group have their needs met, based on applying a democratic approach
• be responsible for documenting, following up, analyzing, and evaluating the education
• be responsible for offering a good environment for care, development, play, and learning
• be responsible for the content, design, and secure implementation of development talks
• work and document in the existing activity systems

About the workplace

Karlslund Preschool has five departments with children between 1 and 5 years old. Karlslund Preschool is close to nature-rich green areas and forests. Björkhaga and the Haga area are located in the western part of Örebro. Karlslund Preschool is also part of a cooperation area where 5 preschools cooperate in different competence areas and networks. All work teams have continuous supervision with the preschool area's special educator. We provide work clothes for outdoor use.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher and are familiar with the preschool curriculum. As an employee with us, you have a professional attitude in your interaction with children, guardians, and colleagues. Together in your work team, you carry out the preschool's daily teaching where children's learning takes place in various activities, while you yourself plan and prioritize the work in the best way. You master the Swedish language and can communicate with children, guardians, and other staff, as well as document in writing what the activity requires.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or alternatively hold a qualification-giving degree that entitles you to a license

Preschool teacher license must be attached to the application along with the qualification list, or alternatively a degree certificate that entitles you to a license.
