We are currently looking for a special needs teacher or a teacher with experience working with students with Individual Needs (IF) for Kumla's Adapted Primary School. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an inspiring environment where every student's development is the focus.

About the Workplace

We are located at Kumlaby School, which is a grades F-9 school comprising both regular primary school and adapted primary school sections, situated in southern Kumla. The school is located in a nature-rich area that inspires our pedagogical work. The school has approximately 550 students and 130 employees distributed across four operations; adapted primary school grades 1–6, adapted primary school grades 7-9, as well as regular primary school grades F-6 and 7–9.

The adapted primary school covers the entire southern part of the county, and we currently have just over 60 students. The operation is growing, and we are therefore looking for more employees. The adapted primary school has an enhanced student health service with two special needs pedagogues working closely with the operation, where we prioritize guidance, promotion, and preventive work. We are two school units but work closely together, and we are now looking for special needs teachers for both subjects and subject areas.

Responsibilities

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Plan and conduct teaching for students in the adapted primary school.
• Adapt teaching according to students' individual needs and prerequisites.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in the school's development work and contribute to a positive school environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license and experience teaching in adapted primary schools.
• Are primarily a special needs teacher with a focus on Individual Needs (IF), or alternatively, someone who is interested in studying to become a special needs teacher with a focus on IF.
• Are engaged, creative, and have a positive attitude.
• Have good collaboration skills and are flexible.
