Your Role

As a Calculation Engineer in Stealth Technology, you will work on signature adaptation of our platforms. You will engage in material modeling and electromagnetic simulations using advanced computational tools, and support designers during installations. This role is a strategic investment in an area where competence is in high demand but rare – and where you will be part of the development of the next generation of aircraft from the start.

At Saab, you will become part of a team of approximately ten specialists in Linköping and Solna. There are great opportunities for both deepening knowledge in specific subjects and broad international collaborations. We welcome both those at the beginning of their careers and those with extensive experience – the most important thing is that you have a genuine interest in calculations, particularly within electromagnetics and material modeling.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Performing simulations and analyses of signatures using in-house and commercial CAD and computational tools.
• Developing and optimizing new materials and structures, including the use of 3D printers.
• Assisting in the evaluation of measurement data from material characterization and signature measurements in close collaboration with our measurement engineers.
• Conducting studies on alternative solutions for antennas and sensors and how they are best integrated onto a stealth-adapted platform.
• Contributing to the further development of existing computational tools.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with calculations, simulations, and working with analysis or computational tools.
• Knowledge of programming and in-house development of computational tools is seen as a positive asset, but is not a requirement.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
