About the Role

At Scania Industrial Maintenance, we constantly face new challenges that develop us as individuals and as an organization. We work in teams with knowledgeable colleagues in close collaboration with the production units. Right now, an exciting transformation journey is underway where Scania's entire production apparatus is being reoriented towards future transport solutions. We are in the midst of several major investments, including the electrification of engines and gearboxes. This means many exciting development opportunities for all our employees.

In this role, you will become part of a team of maintenance engineers for machinery procurement within the Technology and Projects department. Our work is characterized by extensive technical expertise, high drive, and pace. Furthermore, we place great value on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We work closely together with the production technology groups and their project managers. Together, we are building Scania's future production. In your role, you will be active in areas that manufacture parts for transmissions and process engine components, and you will report to a Group Manager for Technology and Projects.

Scania offers you more than just a job. Throughout our entire operation, we work together to improve our products, our methods, and our competence.

Your Main Responsibilities

You will have an important role where your responsibility is to ensure that the equipment procured meets the requirements according to Scania's technical regulations for production and maintenance. You work in a project format together with the production technology departments, with the local maintenance engineers as your customers. Your main tasks are to specify requirements regarding operational reliability and maintainability in tenders. Through Scania's machinery investment process, you ensure that our requirements are translated into reality. Furthermore, you conduct reference visits to evaluate concepts both in Sweden and abroad.

Together with the local maintenance department, you create the first maintenance plan, review and establish spare parts structures, and ensure a systematic and planned handover of new production equipment to the local production and maintenance organization.

Who You Are

We are looking for you with a university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical and automation, or maintenance technology, or equivalent education. Previous experience as a production technician or maintenance engineer is meritorious. We would like you to have experience with machining centers such as lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines, and have several years of experience in this area.

We also value if you have knowledge of reading drawings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. The ability to work independently and in a team is also important.

You have very good general knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and are proficient in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

Since you collaborate with many different stakeholders, you need to be able to switch perspectives easily and be adaptive to both the environment and the situation. Based on the common goal, you gain and give energy when collaborating and finding innovative solutions together with others. Your social skills and trustworthy manner make it easy for you to build long-term and sustainable relationships.

We are looking for someone interested in staying and developing within machinery procurement for machining centers. If you are a person who is passionate about technology and wants to be part of a dynamic team, we look forward to your application!
