We are looking for a Schedule and Cost Coordinator for a consultancy assignment with Trafikverket (The Swedish Transport Administration).

The base of operations is Gothenburg during 2026 and the first half of 2027. From 2027-07-01, the base of operations will move to the construction office in Trollhättan. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Trafikverket is seeking a Schedule and Cost Coordinator for the Locks Program Trollhätte Canal, where existing locks in Trollhättan are being replaced with a new lock channel in collaboration with the Swedish Maritime Administration. The project is part of the long-term initiative to replace the locks between the North Sea and Lake Vänern, which are over 100 years old.

In this role, you are responsible for developing and updating schedules and cost estimates within the contract E21 New Lock and Waterway. You will be part of the client organization and work daily in close collaboration with both Trafikverket and the contractor. The assignment requires an independent working style, good teamwork skills, and a service-oriented approach.

The contract is carried out in two parts: a TEM contract in two phases (ABK 09/ABT 06) and a separate AB 04 contract for a movable bridge. You will work actively in both contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update the client's schedules and cost estimates.
  • Participate in the development of the contractor's schedules and estimates.
  • Identify and plan critical purchases in collaboration with the contractor.
  • Analyze and quality-assure schedules, cost estimates, and basis for target prices.
  • Work with cost tracking, forecasts, and index management.
  • Support the handling of notifications and ÄTA (Additional/Changed Work) tasks.
  • Drive the follow-up of the contractor's ongoing invoicing in close collaboration with the client.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

a) Swedish B driving license.

b) Degree from a university of technology or a combination of education and work experience that Trafikverket assesses as equivalent.

c) At least five years of experience from a contracting company in construction contracts in a supervisory role, project size at least 100 MSEK. The utilization rate must have been at least 50%.

d) At least five years of experience from a contracting company with a utilization rate of at least 80%, where the following tasks, or tasks assessed as equivalent by the client, constituted more than half of the working time: bid calculation, development, analysis, and updating of production estimates, development of estimates for additional work, purchasing work, and economic follow-up for construction work in infrastructure projects with a contract value over 200 MSEK.

A reference confirming independent and analytically well-performed work must be included in the application. The reference may be contacted.

e) Experience of planning work carried out in a contract with a contract value over 200 MSEK. The planning work must have been performed using a scheduling program. The experience must include the development of a schedule with a critical path, and the schedule must have been broken down into several levels. Development and ongoing analysis of schedules within the following areas, or areas assessed as equivalent by the client, count as experience: production, assembly, purchasing, logistics, or inspections.

A reference confirming independent and analytically well-performed work must be included in the application. The reference may be contacted.

f) Good knowledge of AMA Anläggning (Swedish Standard Specifications for Construction Works) and contract law (AB/ABT).

Merits

  • Experience from at least one (1) assignment where large collaborative contracts within infrastructure (contract value over 250 MSEK) with payment on a cost-plus basis have been included as part of the assignment's execution. The resource must have had a leading role on the contractor or client side and a utilization rate of at least 50%.
  • Analytical, self-driven, and service-oriented. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your own work approach, and drive processes forward. You solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies, see logic and connections in complex information, and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and deliver solutions.
