Service Description
Within the welfare and care sector, you will find the Housing Support unit. We work to provide our clients with good support based on individual needs and assist them in their daily lives. This means we work based on each individual's needs and support them in what is necessary based on an approved decision for housing support. The interventions we perform may include supporting contacts with other authorities, support with daily household chores, breaking isolation by helping to get out into society through various activities, and more. The service is aimed at people with mental and neuropsychiatric functional variations.
The Housing Support unit is based at our office in Hallonbergen on Lötsjövägen 6.
As a Housing Support Worker, you will, in consultation with the team leader, work to develop the unit's operational planning, implementation, and documentation. This requires a good ability to work towards set goals.
We work Monday-Friday (no weekends), and shifts start as early as 08:00 and end no later than 19:00.
The position is a temporary vacancy. We have one position until the end of December and one until the end of September.
Your Responsibilities
As a Housing Support Worker, you help people with disabilities or mental health issues manage their daily lives, both at home and in society, through support, planning, and participation. Responsibilities may include help with daily chores, planning and implementing activities both at home and outside, and support in contacts with authorities and other professional actors.
The role involves collaboration with other units and actors, both internally and externally. You must have good communication skills and express yourself well in both speech and writing. Since we have documentation requirements in the service, you must have good knowledge of documentation. You have basic IT skills and can use the computer as a tool, and you learn new systems easily.
The Housing Support team is an 18-person team with 2 team leaders and 1 unit manager. The responsibilities also include planning meetings, APT (Assessment of Needs and Resources), and other joint meetings based on a fixed meeting calendar.
We want you to have a nursing education at its core, comparable to a mental health nurse education, the nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, or alternatively another education (assessed by the employer as equivalent).
You have documented experience working with people with mental and/or neuropsychiatric functional variations. Additional qualifications in ESL (Emotional Support and Leadership), low-affective handling, addiction conditions, and MI (Motivational Interviewing) are meritorious.
