About the role and your responsibilities

This position is located within the national vocational programmes at Vipan. As a Study and Career Counsellor (SYV), you play a crucial role in students' educational journeys and future choices. You guide and support students in matters concerning education, working life, and personal development, working closely with students, guardians, and school staff.

The role includes individual counselling sessions, providing information about educational and career opportunities, and supporting students in setting goals and future plans. You also participate in working groups and development projects focused on strengthening students' learning, motivation, and well-being.

You are secure, attentive, and able to meet students based on their individual needs and prerequisites. With patience, structure, and good collaboration skills, you build trusting relationships with both students and colleagues.

You are proactive, creative, and solution-oriented, while working professionally and purposefully. Your positive attitude and commitment contribute to an inclusive and inspiring school environment.

We offer you

As a Study and Career Counsellor at Vipan, you become an important part of the student health team, collaborating closely with school nurses, special education teachers, counsellors, and other school staff to provide students with the best possible support.

You are also part of a work team and a network with other SYV colleagues, where you share experiences, knowledge, and develop the operations together. The work consists of both individual conversations and group interventions, and you actively participate in the school's development work within study and career guidance.

You are responsible for a student group of approximately 300–400 students and have the opportunity to follow their development throughout their upper secondary education. Your direct supervisor is the Deputy Principal, who provides support and conditions for you to succeed and thrive in your role.
