About Hedesunda School

At Hedesunda School, children attend from preschool class to grade 6. Approximately 190 students study here. All our work is based on the safety and well-being that we create together through mutual care and active safety efforts. We have a good work environment in fresh facilities, located in a beautiful and stimulating surroundings. There is also a branch of the city library here, which is an important part of the education.

We offer good after-school care at our after-school center. For older students, there is an after-school club at the school. We work hard to strengthen reading in various ways, as we know that good readers have good prerequisites for knowledge development. At our school, children attend from preschool class to grade six. We have a structured and intensive student health service to identify and support students who need it.

Responsibilities

Do you want to help create a safe, fun, and developmental everyday life for our students at Hedesunda School? Great, then this might be the job for you! We are now looking for a dedicated teacher for our after-school center.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• You are responsible for planning and teaching in the after-school center.
• Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians, and staff.
• Create an inclusive and supportive school environment where every student feels seen and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health services, and guardians.

Qualifications

In this role, you actively contribute to a culture where we together take responsibility for creating the best conditions for students' learning and development. You are happy to share your ideas, take in other perspectives, and see collegial learning as a natural part of the assignment.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in the after-school center.
• Are familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for primary school as well as for preschool class and the after-school center.
• Have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, as this is required in the work dialogue with colleagues, guardians, and students.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience and knowledge of working with digital tools, for example, Unikum.
• Studies as a preschool teacher.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A natural aptitude for leading and motivating students and getting them to thrive and feel good.
• An ease in finding new angles, seeing opportunities, and adapting to different situations.
• The ability to create trusting relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
• An inclusive working method that makes every student feel a sense of belonging and security.
• The ability to plan and organize your work well.
• Good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, guardians, and other actors.

The final candidate must be able to provide a police certificate of good conduct for work within schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.

• Working hours: Daytime.
